React Native Engineer

Salary: £62,000 - 102,000 per year

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a React Native Engineer with 3+ years of mobile development experience in React Native, working on both iOS and Android apps.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and mobile development frameworks.
• Solid understanding of mobile architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
• Experience integrating mobile apps with RESTful APIs and collaborating with backend engineers.
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for mobile apps and writing clean, maintainable code.
• Strong experience working in an agile environment (Scrum/Kanban).
• Bonus points: experience with Redux, GraphQL, or other state management libraries.
• Bonus points: background working with SaaS or FinTech applications.
• Bonus points: familiarity with mobile testing frameworks like Jest or Detox.
• Bonus points: experience with cloud services and mobile deployment pipelines.
• Hybrid location: 2 days per week onsite in London.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement new features in our React Native mobile application for iOS and Android.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate requirements into scalable and maintainable code.
• Optimise the apps performance, reliability, and responsiveness across different devices and platforms.
• Work closely with backend engineers to integrate RESTful APIs and ensure seamless data flow between the mobile app and backend services.
• Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and code reviews to ensure the app is stable and performs well.
• Implement pixel-perfect UI designs in collaboration with designers to ensure the best possible user experience.
• Participate in agile development processes, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
