Job Description

Salary: £45,000 - 70,000 per year

Requirements:
  • We need strong Python programming skills with experience developing automation tools and operational workflows.
  • We need working knowledge of Django for developing and maintaining internal operational platforms, APIs, and automation services.
  • We need experience consuming and integrating REST APIs and working with JSON/XML data formats.
  • We need familiarity with infrastructure automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible.
  • We need experience in Network Operations, Infrastructure Engineering, Network Automation, or Site Reliability Engineering.
  • We need experience working in Linux environments, including troubleshooting and system administration tasks.
  • We need understanding of monitoring, telemetry, observability, and event management platforms.
  • We need hands-on experience with Git and collaborative development practices.
  • Preferred: experience building automation for Network Operations Centres (NOC) or Infrastructure Operations teams.
  • Preferred: familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts and practices.
  • Preferred: exposure to CI/CD pipelines supporting infrastructure and automation deployments.
  • Preferred: understanding of event-driven automation, self-healing workflows, and operational orchestration.
  • Preferred: knowledge of ServiceNow integration, operational tooling, or workflow automation platforms.
  • Preferred: exposure to data analytics, network telemetry, or operational reporting.
  • Preferred: solid understanding of enterprise networking concepts including Routing and Switching, TCP/IP, Wireless Networking, Cisco SD-WAN, and Network Security fundamentals.
  • Preferred: experience with network automation frameworks and libraries such as Netmiko and Paramiko.
Responsibilities:
  • We design, develop, and implement automation scripts using Python to streamline operations.
  • We collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and requirements.
  • We troubleshoot and debug existing automation solutions to enhance performance and efficiency.
  • We write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to best practices.
  • We participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
  • We stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in automation and Python development.
