Product Owner

Salary: £45,000 - 65,000 per year

Requirements:

• We need strong experience working in Scaled Agile (SAFe) environments with hands-on use of JIRA and Confluence.
• Exposure to AI tools such as Claude or Copilot is a plus.
• Understanding of payment protocols such as SWIFT, ISO 20022, BACS, and CHAPS from a channels or processing domain is preferred.
• We are looking for experience creating business cases and presenting them to senior stakeholders.
• We need someone with the ability to engage and negotiate with stakeholders, including senior leadership.
• Experience as a Product Owner is required.

Responsibilities:

• We manage product management initiatives and set the strategic direction.
• We support senior management and manage product development risk across the organisation.
• We act as the face of the product to stakeholders, especially senior leadership.
• We engage with other Product Owners and business stakeholders to discuss and negotiate dependencies.
• We represent the customer to the team and explain the value of change to the business.
• We elaborate stories for the tech team where detail is needed.
• We review and accept all work completed in sprint.
• We participate in story refinement sessions and sprint planning.
• We self-initiate new ideas, product features, and enhancements to existing features.
• We seek funding opportunities for new initiatives.
• We work with projects to use funding to deliver new and improved features as well as core requirements.
• We engage with users to understand patterns, behaviours, improvements, and pain points.
• We analyse and prioritise work with other leads, including live issue fixes.
• We explore product metrics with Tech and the Domain Lead to drive improvement.
• We create domain roadmaps showing feature delivery and timelines.
• We drive metrics that bring delivery outcomes and associated issues to life.
