Principal Engineer

Salary: £85,000 - 85,000 per year

Requirements:

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Substantial experience as a hands-on Java engineer.
• Ability to advocate Java/coding principles, practices and philosophy.
• Ability to communicate design verbally and in written form.
• Ability to work with senior stakeholders and detailed technical specialists.
• Beneficial to have worked within government or the public sector previously.

Responsibilities:

• Work across the full lifecycle from requirement gathering and design through to coding, testing, deployment and maintenance.
• Liaise with management and stakeholders on client requirements and understand team objectives.
• Champion and contribute towards engineering best practices across our team and projects.
• Identify and create ideas for technical solutions.
• Provide feedback to project teams on progress and outcomes.
• Advise developers on technical decisions.
• Work on a variety of projects and challenges as a consultant with us.
