Oracle/SQL Database Administrator

Salary: £104,000 - 122,200 per year

Requirements:

• Active SC Clearance
• Sole UK national
• Strong Oracle and/or SQL Server DBA experience
• Performance tuning and troubleshooting expertise
• Backup and restore experience
• HA/DR knowledge, including technologies such as AlwaysOn, Data Guard, or RAC
• ITIL or managed service experience preferred

Responsibilities:

• Support Oracle and SQL Server databases within a secure environment, ensuring performance, availability, and stability of BAU services
• Monitor, maintain, and tune Oracle and SQL Server databases
• Manage incidents, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
• Perform backups, restores, patching, and upgrades
• Support HA/DR capabilities
• Ensure security and compliance in a secure environment

We are seeking an Oracle/SQL Database Administrator for a 3-month contract role based in Manchester or Barrow, working on a hybrid basis with 80% office and 20% home. This is an inside IR35 position at a rate of £470 per day. The role supports databases within the Dragonfly secure environment and sits within a highly regulated public-sector setting.
