Requirements:

• We require an active SC clearance.
• We are looking for a Network Engineer with experience in Cisco SDA switching and Catalyst Centre.
• We need hands-on experience with Cisco Wi‑Fi and Meraki Wi‑Fi.
• We require experience with Cisco ISE.
• We are looking for experience in wireless surveying and wireless leakage surveys using Ekahau surveying kit.
• We need experience with LAN/WAN switching and routing, including patching and patch panel management.
• We require experience with physical racking, cabling, patching, and cabinet upgrades.
• We are looking for experience with ACI, physical switch installation, and battery replacements.
• We need firewall experience with ASA, Palo Alto, and Meraki, including management, VPN configuration, and access control.
• We require experience with F5 load balancing.
• We are looking for experience with analogue telephony and Avaya telephony system support, including gateway and frame room management and maintenance.
• We need experience with Catapan/encryptor configuration, management, and keying processes.
• We require experience with SolarWinds.
• We are looking for strong network troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

• We will have you support a contract role for 1-2 years as a Network Engineer based in Barrow in Furness, Cumbria.
• We will expect you to work in a hybrid arrangement, with 2-3 days per week on site when required.
• We will have you travel to supported sites to remediate network issues across firewalls, routers, switches, and Catapans.
• We will rely on you to manage and maintain patch panels, physical cabling, and cabinet upgrades.
• We will have you carry out physical switch installation and battery replacements.
• We will expect you to support firewall administration, VPN configuration, and access control tasks.
• We will have you configure and maintain network and telephony equipment, including Avaya and Catapan/encryptor systems.
• We will rely on you to use SolarWinds for network monitoring and support.
• We will expect you to troubleshoot and resolve network problems across supported sites.
