Mandarin Speaking IT Systems Engineer

Salary: £36,000 - 72,000 per year

Requirements:

• Fluent in Mandarin and English
• IT system engineering-related experience in the UK
• Extensive relevant experience in a professional environment
• Solid management experience of Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange Server, VMware software, and File Server
• Good knowledge of TCP/IP and networking management
• Ability to configure Cisco Switch, Router, Firewall, and wireless devices
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Mandarin and English
• Experience in problem solving and troubleshooting
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability
• Customer-focused attitude
• Can-do attitude
• Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as part of a team
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or related field and/or equivalent technical degree required
• Microsoft and Cisco certifications are preferable

Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server and VMware in line with the latest technical development and business needs
• Oversee the operation and management of remote working systems
• Configure Active Directory and related services including DNS, DHCP, DFS, and GPOs
• Manage enterprise network and storage server(s)
• Assist the Department Head to ensure information security complies with established policies and standards
• Implement, update, and monitor disaster recovery and relevant procedures and processes
• Assist the Head of Department to update IT policies, procedures, operation manuals, and configuration guidelines annually
• Communicate and coordinate with external service providers to support the availability, reliability, and scalability of the Comms room, dedicated circuits, Internet circuits, network, storage, PC server, and systems
• Assist the Department Head in managing and training new team members
• Take preventative measures to ensure smooth business operations
• Carry out other ad-hoc tasks as required by the line manager
