Lead Quantitative BI Analyst

Salary: £63,000 - 103,000 per year

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science, or a related field; an advanced degree such as an MBA, CFA, CFP, or equivalent is a plus.
• 7+ years of combined experience in financial analysis and BI/data engineering roles.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modelling.
• Good understanding of data science techniques, SKlearn standard models, and applied solutions at scale.
• 3+ years of experience with SQL, Python (pandas/spark), and BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• 3+ years of experience in data warehousing, ETL/ELT processes, and cloud-based data platforms.
• Familiarity with SaaS metrics (ARR, NRR, CAC, LTV, churn) and valuation concepts.
• Exceptional problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate complex technical and financial concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven track record of ownership, adaptability, and delivering results in fast-paced environments.
• Strong quantitative mindset with the ability to design scalable BI solutions.
• Highly motivated self-starter with an ownership mentality and a bias for execution.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain driver-based three-statement financial models for scenario analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and valuation.
• Perform advanced data mining and statistical modelling on large, complex datasets to identify trends and inform strategic decisions.
• Design and maintain enterprise BI architecture, data science models, pipelines, and warehousing solutions.
• Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes to ensure data integrity and scalability.
• Create automated dashboards and reporting tools using BI platforms such as Power BI or Tableau to track financial and operational performance.
• Integrate BI tools with enterprise systems such as ERP and CRM for unified data access.
• Partner with finance, product, and technology teams to refine assumptions, validate models, and align BI solutions with business objectives.
• Present insights and recommendations to senior executives in a clear, structured format.
• Implement data governance standards and metadata management, and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
• Mentor junior analysts and engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
