Lead Analytics Tech Specialist

Salary: £61,000 - 101,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong experience in digital analytics implementation across web and/or app
• Advanced knowledge of GA4 and Google Tag Manager
• Strong JavaScript knowledge and experience implementing custom tracking
• Strong understanding of data layers, event-based tracking and measurement design
• Experience with server-side tracking and modern measurement approaches
• Strong experience testing, debugging and troubleshooting analytics implementations
• Good understanding of consent, privacy and first-party measurement
• Experience working with developers and translating measurement requirements into technical solutions
• Experience with server-side Google Tag Manager
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform
• Experience with Firebase and mobile app measurement
• Knowledge of BigQuery and SQL
• Experience with APIs and data integrations
• Experience with value-based bidding or conversion value enrichment
• Knowledge of Adobe measurement technologies
• Exposure to automated testing and deployment processes
• Strong technical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to take ownership of complex technical measurement issues
• Ability to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions
• Comfort working across Analytics, Product and Technology teams

Responsibilities:

• Lead the technical delivery of digital measurement across web and app
• Own and develop our GA4, GTM and server-side measurement implementations
• Define technical measurement requirements for new projects and digital changes
• Work closely with Product and Technology teams to ensure measurement requirements are considered during development
• Work with Architecture and Infrastructure teams on wider technical dependencies
• Lead technical measurement across server-side tracking, app measurement and value-based bidding
• Ensure tracking is tested, monitored and working as expected
• Investigate complex tracking and data quality issues and work with relevant teams to resolve them
• Work with Google and specialist partners on new measurement capabilities and technical development
• Identify opportunities to improve and automate how we implement and manage measurement
• Lead and support the development of our wider Analytics Technology team
