Lab Infrastructure Engineer (QA)

Salary: £78,000 - 91,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong Python experience
• Linux administration knowledge
• Docker and containerisation experience
• Experience with virtual machine environments
• Experience with Git and GitLab
• Experience working in Agile and Scrum environments
• Knowledge of broadband technologies, including FTTP, xDSL, IPv4/IPv6, PPP, Wi-Fi, UPnP, and 4G/5G
• CPE / Home Gateway testing experience
• RF fundamentals and wireless networking expertise
• Experience in the telecoms industry

Responsibilities:

• Develop Python-based automation test scripts
• Build and improve CPE test environments
• Support broadband and home gateway product testing
• Work within Agile delivery teams
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues
• Support continuous improvement initiatives
• Use Git, GitLab, and JIRA to support delivery

We are supporting a major telecommunications organisation investing heavily in next-generation broadband and connectivity platforms. This is a lab-based role in Ipswich on a 6-month contract at £350 per day, with 5 days on site. You will join a highly technical engineering team focused on developing and maintaining automated testing solutions across broadband and home networking products, with exposure to next-generation broadband technologies and long-term programme potential.
