Junior Control System/Software Engineer

Salary: £95,000 - 95,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are looking for someone at the start of their career with a degree-level education, ideally BSc or BEng in Engineering or Science, or an equivalent qualification in Electrical or Control Systems Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• We would like prior experience working with PLC, HMI, or SCADA systems.
• We need someone who can use their own initiative and work to tight deadlines.
• We value excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• We are looking for strong interpersonal skills and client-facing experience.

Responsibilities:

• We will rely on you to support systems integration projects across Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider, and Mitsubishi PLC, SCADA, and HMI platforms.
• We will expect you to undertake control system feasibility studies and recommend control and automation solutions.
• You will produce high-quality professional documentation to present your findings.
• You will create Functional Design Specifications to meet project requirements.
• You will produce detailed PLC, SCADA, and HMI software designs to support configuration activities.
• You will develop PLC configurations to meet customer, FDS, and other design inputs.
• You will implement or modify PLC, SCADA, and HMI software on client systems within live operational environments.
• You will undertake commissioning activities on client sites to verify that software performs in line with project requirements.
