Requirements:

• Strong commercial experience developing Java applications in enterprise environments.
• Experience supporting live production systems.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle WebLogic.
• Strong Oracle SQL knowledge.
• Experience using Git and Maven.
• Experience working with Kubernetes and containerised applications.
• A proactive approach with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative Agile team.
• Experience with Shell scripting.
• Linux command line experience.
• Eligibility to obtain SC Security Clearance.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise Java applications.
• Support live production services and resolve technical issues.
• Work with Oracle databases, writing and optimising SQL queries.
• Deploy and support applications running on WebLogic.
• Manage code using Git and Maven within controlled release processes.
• Work with containerised applications deployed on Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with technical teams to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions.

We are offering a 6-month Java Developer opportunity based in Telford on a hybrid basis, with 2 days per week onsite. This role is inside IR35 and offers up to £450 per day. You will join a collaborative team supporting and enhancing a suite of internal applications in a complex enterprise environment, with a strong focus on system stability, live service support, batch processing, and continuous improvement. The role requires BPSS / SC eligibility.
