IT Support Technician

Requirements:

• Previous experience in an IT support, helpdesk, or technical support role
• Knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, and common IT hardware
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to prioritise workloads and work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Relevant IT qualifications are desirable
• A valid or update-service DBS, or willingness to obtain one
• An enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references are required

Responsibilities:

• Provide first- and second-line IT support to staff and students across the College
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and user account issues
• Support and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and classroom technology
• Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT systems and applications
• Manage service desk tickets and ensure issues are resolved within agreed timescales
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the continuous improvement of IT services
