IT Project Engineer

Salary: £40,000 - 50,000 per year

Requirements:

• Required: driving licence.
• Microsoft 365 configuration and migrations, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Entra ID.
• Networking and infrastructure experience with DNS, DHCP, VLANs, switching, VPN configurations, and Wi-Fi deployments.
• Windows Server administration, Active Directory, and Hyper-V virtualization.
• Backup and Disaster Recovery deployment, endpoint security, and Multi-Factor Authentication rollouts.
• Proven IT project delivery experience and professional, customer-facing communication skills.
• Strong technical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and IT literacy.
• Excellent time management, commercial awareness, and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently, make sound operational decisions, and stay calm under pressure.
• Professional telephone manner and customer-focused attitude.
• Desirable: UniFi deployment and structured network cabling and termination.
• Desirable: Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure and Microsoft Intune / Autopilot.
• Desirable: Remote Monitoring & Management tools, including Datto RMM / Autotask PSA.
• Desirable: VoIP / 3CX telephony and Remote Desktop Services (RDS / FSLogix).
• Desirable: Sophos XGS Firewalls, Huntress EDR/ITDR/SAT, Inky Email Security, and Hikvision CCTV/NVR systems.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver end-to-end technical projects, including migrations, upgrades, and installations, to agreed timescales, budgets, and quality standards.
• Travel to client sites across London and the South East as required to carry out infrastructure installations and hardware deployments.
• Support day-to-day project scheduling, technical documentation, risk assessments, and proactive system monitoring.
• Provide second- and third-line remote support using RMM platforms.
• Monitor backup and disaster recovery systems and recommend technical enhancements.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and work closely with the Projects Manager to flag issues early.

We are hiring a Projects Engineer to join our technical team and manage client deployments. The role is permanent and full-time, based in Cowfold, West Sussex, with travel to client sites across the South East and London. Salary is £40,000–£50,000 per annum, depending on experience, for a 40-hour week.
