Infrastructure Engineer

Salary: £45,000 - 50,000 per year

Requirements:

• Proven experience working in a modern enterprise infrastructure environment
• Strong experience with on-premises servers, storage and virtualisation
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure across both PaaS and IaaS
• Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN, switching, firewalls, routing and network security
• Experience with infrastructure monitoring and proactive issue resolution
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
• Experience working across server, network, storage and security technologies
• A practical, collaborative approach and a willingness to keep developing technical knowledge
• Experience with Nutanix would be advantageous

Responsibilities:

• Implement, develop and maintain Azure PaaS and IaaS, including VMs, App Services, Storage, Azure SQL, VNets and Application Gateway
• Implement, develop and maintain on-premises and private cloud infrastructure, including HCI and virtualisation platforms
• Implement, develop and maintain networking, including LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, switching, firewalls and routing
• Implement, develop and maintain Microsoft 365, including Entra ID, Intune, Defender, Exchange, SharePoint and Teams
• Implement, develop and maintain server, storage and virtualisation environments
• Implement, develop and maintain backup and recovery platforms
• Carry out monitoring, patching and proactive infrastructure management
• Troubleshoot issues and perform root cause analysis
• Produce technical documentation and share knowledge
• Act as an SME escalation point for Service Desk and Application Support teams
• Work with the Development Team on new integrations and web applications
