Infrastructure & Cloud Support Engineer

Salary: £30,000 - 40,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience with Microsoft 365, Intune and Entra ID
• Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory and Group Policy
• Experience with Windows 10/11 endpoint management
• Experience with networking, including DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs and firewalls
• Experience with backup and disaster recovery
• Experience providing L2/L3 troubleshooting
• Experience with Datto RMM, Hyper-V/VMware, Microsoft Defender, Autopilot, Conditional Access or PowerShell would be advantageous
• Strong technical fundamentals
• A methodical troubleshooting approach
• Excellent communication skills
• Comfort working independently and dealing directly with customers
• Applicants must be within practical travelling distance of Great Dunmow, Essex
• A full UK driving licence and access to suitable transport is preferred

Responsibilities:

• Provide L2/L3 technical support across Microsoft 365, endpoints, servers and networks
• Administer Microsoft 365, Entra ID and Intune
• Support Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS and DHCP
• Manage endpoint environments, including monitoring, patching and deployment
• Troubleshoot networking, VPNs, firewalls, VLANs and multi-site connectivity
• Manage and test backup and disaster recovery solutions
• Support cloud migrations, infrastructure upgrades and security projects
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and customer records
• Take ownership of issues through to resolution and provide excellent customer service

We are a growing Managed Service Provider based in Great Dunmow, Essex, working in a hybrid, client-facing environment. This is an initial 3-day-per-week role with the opportunity to progress to full-time, offering a salary of £30,000-£40,000 FTE depending on experience. We support a range of clients across Microsoft 365, Intune, Windows infrastructure, networking, endpoint management, backup and disaster recovery, alongside technical project work. This is an excellent opportunity to join our team and develop into technical project delivery, with potential progression into a Technical Project Lead or IT Project Management position.
