Infrastructure Architect

Salary: £80,000 - 85,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience in enterprise infrastructure architecture within complex organisations
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365
• Experience with hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructure
• Knowledge of identity and access management, including Entra ID / Azure AD
• Experience with infrastructure governance, standards and architectural assurance
• Experience with cloud migration and transformation programmes
• Experience with infrastructure automation using Terraform, Bicep or ARM
• Knowledge of business continuity, disaster recovery and resilience planning
• Experience working with enterprise platforms including Dynamics 365 and Power Platform
• Professional certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, TOGAF or FinOps are welcomed but not essential

Responsibilities:

• Define infrastructure architecture, principles, standards and technology roadmaps
• Shape Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 strategy across a complex global environment
• Lead architecture for hybrid cloud, identity, security and resilience
• Support large-scale migration and modernisation programmes
• Drive Infrastructure as Code, automation and platform engineering best practices
• Provide architectural governance across cloud and on-premises platforms
• Help shape approaches to AI-enabled infrastructure, Microsoft Copilot and emerging Microsoft technologies
• Influence cloud cost optimisation (FinOps), operational efficiency and long-term technology strategy
• Work closely with engineering, cyber security and enterprise applications teams to deliver scalable, secure platforms
