Head of IT

Salary: £55,000 - 60,000 per year

Requirements:

• 6+ years of IT experience, with at least 2–3 years managing small technical teams or acting as a Helpdesk Lead.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, cloud solutions (AWS/Azure), MDM deployment tools, and network routing.
• CompTIA Network+/Security+, ITIL Foundation, or equivalent Microsoft certifications are highly desirable.
• Outstanding problem-solving skills, strong interpersonal management abilities, and clear technical communication for non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, schedule, and support a team of 5 IT Technicians, ensuring clear workflows and appropriate escalation of technical issues.
• Oversee the ticketing system, monitor team performance metrics such as SLA response times, and ensure continuous end-user support.
• Maintain networks, servers, cloud applications, and hardware deployments to support optimal uptime and system reliability.
• Formulate, implement, and audit data protection compliance, network security controls, and business disaster recovery protocols.
• Act as the primary contact for third-party service providers, manage hardware lifecycle procurement, and control the IT departmental budget.
