Field Service Engineer - Glasgow

Salary: £30,000 - 30,000 per year

Requirements:

• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Organised and able to prioritise workloads and workflows.
• Approachable with outstanding customer service skills.
• Self-starter who can help formulate tactical plans to achieve department strategy.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Eligible for SC Clearance.

Responsibilities:

• Support the achievement of IT team objectives in line with customer processes and procedures.
• Promote the IT team and wider IT function.
• Participate in internal meetings to share and develop knowledge and best practice.
• Provide end-to-end ownership of incidents and service requests to ensure effective resolution.
• Provide regular status updates on open tickets.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with business users.
• Maintain and improve service standards through continuous improvement.
• Investigate and resolve common desktop issues to support business continuity.
• Assess issues thoroughly to determine further action and escalation to the 3rd Line Team where required.
• Support other team members in achieving their objectives.
• Cover for Site Engineers when needed.
• Run scheduled Tech Bars.
• Provide day-to-day IT support to customers.
• Travel to customer sites and adapt to different environments as required.
