Job Description

Salary: £55,000 - 95,000 per year

Requirements:
  • We are looking for someone with proven experience working as an Enterprise Architect or Lead Solution Architect in a complex organisational environment.
  • We need demonstrated experience designing and implementing enterprise-wide technology strategies, cloud adoption such as Azure, and governance frameworks.
  • We need demonstrated experience auditing technology landscapes, consolidating systems, and successfully reducing technical debt.
  • We need experience working collaboratively with specialised teams.
  • We need a track record of enabling and supporting specific domain strategies rather than dictating technical direction.
  • We need demonstrated experience communicating complex technical concepts to executive leadership and non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
  • We will rely on you to bridge the gap between our business strategy and technology execution.
  • You will align our technology strategy with our business goals and objectives.
  • You will develop and maintain our architectural roadmap, moving from current state to future state.
  • You will audit our existing technology stack to reduce complexity, identify redundancies, and consolidate tools where appropriate.
  • You will establish, mature, and govern our architecture rules, frameworks, standards, processes, and practices across the organisation.
  • You will partner closely with our Data and AI team to operationalise our data strategy and provide enterprise-level architecture guidance.
  • You will continuously scan for emerging technologies, including advanced cloud capabilities, to assess their value to us.
  • You will develop and maintain comprehensive enterprise architecture models, diagrams, and target-state designs.
  • You will align technology investments with our business strategy to ensure value delivery and operational efficiency.
  • You will establish and apply architectural standards, governance frameworks, and best practices across technology domains.
  • You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including solution architects, developers, security, and business stakeholders to ensure cohesive enterprise solutions.
  • You will take an active role in Architecture Review Board and Design Authority activities, providing governance, assurance, challenge, and oversight.
  • You will mature our enterprise architecture processes, practices, artefacts, and engagement model so guidance is practical, proportionate, repeatable, and embedded in delivery ways of working.
  • You will work with our Data Architect to produce and publish an enterprise data architecture blueprint.
  • You will support our Data and AI team to align the data strategy with our broader business and technology strategy.
  • You will work with our Data Architect to design and configure the central data management repository.
