DevOps Engineer - Azure

Salary: £61,000 - 101,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong commercial experience as a Senior DevOps Engineer, or as an infrastructure engineer moving into a DevOps role with Azure experience
• Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure
• Strong experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD
• Infrastructure as Code experience, ideally with Terraform and/or Bicep
• Strong scripting skills using PowerShell and/or Python
• Excellent understanding of Azure networking, security, and identity
• Experience working on project-based cloud implementations and transformations
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Microsoft Azure certifications, ideally at Associate or Expert level, are desirable

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement Azure cloud infrastructure across a variety of projects
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
• Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployments
• Support Azure migration, transformation, and modernisation projects
• Implement cloud security, networking, monitoring, and governance
• Work closely with developers, architects, and project teams to deliver high-quality solutions
• Provide technical leadership and contribute to DevOps best practice
• Identify opportunities to improve automation, scalability, reliability, and deployment processes

We are a technology team based in Watford, offering a brand new greenfield opportunity for a Senior DevOps Engineer with strong Microsoft Azure experience. This is a purely project-focused role with no heavy BAU element, and it is well suited to someone who wants to focus on cloud engineering, transformation, and modern DevOps delivery. We offer a permanent position with a competitive salary depending on experience, excellent benefits, and a hybrid working pattern of 2 days onsite and 3 days remote. We are open to infra engineers looking to move into a DevOps role, provided they have Azure experience and ideally Azure certifications.
