Data Scientist

Salary: £53,000 - 93,000 per year

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1–2 years of professional experience as a Data Scientist in a commercial setting
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field
• Expertise in Python and developing high-quality, scalable code
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure
• Solid understanding of SQL
• Familiarity with version control (Git) and automated deployment pipelines (CI/CD)
• Desirable: experience with retail demand forecasting
• Desirable: experience working in a startup environment
• Desirable: experience with GCP/Vertex AI

Responsibilities:

• Help our business leaders understand and prioritise opportunities related to AI/ML
• Own the lifecycle of new models from concept to deployment and monitoring, and continuously iterate
• Develop reporting and dashboards
• Work with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features, driving business and technical excellence
• Write scalable, maintainable, high-quality code while following best practices for testing, deployment, and version control
