Data Engineering Manager

Salary: £44,000 - 84,000 per year

Requirements:

• We have a proven track record of success within a Data Engineering function.
• We are looking for experience as a Data Engineering Manager or Principal / Lead Engineer with a strong track record.
• We need excellent technical project management experience with Agile / Scrum.
• We want experience in the successful delivery of data platforms and data products.
• We need a strong understanding of data fundamentals including ETL / Data Warehousing / Data Modelling.
• We want experience with DevOps and Agile; Azure DevOps would be a major plus.
• We need strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• We want a good understanding of cloud data platforms such as GCP / Azure / AWS.
• We require the ability to communicate, document, present, and interact at all levels of the business up to Exec level.
• A basic DBS check is mandatory for this position.

Responsibilities:

• We oversee all aspects of product development.
• We act as a primary point of contact with stakeholders and Product Owners.
• We oversee estimating and billing for all resources used.
• We provide timely and effective communication on progress or issues.
• We actively manage all risks, issues, and key decisions for our products.
• We identify and understand business requirements and strategic business drivers.
• We ensure quality and governance processes are followed and our standards are met.
• We lead, coach, and develop a team to consistently deliver the highest standards of service required by the business.
