Job Description

Salary: £36,000 - 67,000 per year

Requirements:
  • We require eligibility to obtain DV (Developed Vetting) Security Clearance before starting.
  • We require that you have lived in the UK for 10+ years to be eligible.
  • We require you to work onsite 5 days per week.
  • We are looking for strong programming or scripting skills in SQL, Python, Scala, R, or bash.
  • We are looking for experience using big data platforms and querying diverse data types.
  • We are looking for a strong analytical mindset to derive meaning from data, challenge assumptions, analyse competing hypotheses, and assess alternative explanations.
  • We value experience gained in incident response or investigating complex problems.
  • Desirable: knowledge of networking concepts such as ports and protocols, the OSI model, TCP/IP, routing, and subnetting.
  • Desirable: experience with packet analysis tools, intrusion detection systems, SIEM platforms, and threat intelligence platforms.
  • Desirable: experience in cyber security, signalling, digital forensics, network administration, threat hunting, malware analysis, communications data analysis, or OSINT research.
Responsibilities:
  • We conduct comprehensive analysis of complex problems by planning, executing, and reporting on findings.
  • We document the analytical process clearly, including research, planning, and execution stages.
  • We leverage big data tools to query and integrate data from multiple sources.
  • We develop and apply novel analytical tradecraft and a critical mindset to uncover insights.
  • We produce clear, timely, and actionable reports based on analytical findings.
  • We communicate complex technical issues and limitations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • We ensure clarity by distinguishing between facts and opinions.
  • We adhere to all information handling policies and procedures.
  • We maintain subject matter expertise in our analytical or technical domain.
  • We take the lead on complex analytical challenges and technical issues when appropriate.
  • We collaborate and innovate with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • We share knowledge, mentor peers, and provide constructive feedback to support team growth.
  • We build and maintain strong relationships with analytical stakeholders to understand their domain, requirements, and challenges.
  • We engage regularly with stakeholders to assess the relevance and impact of our analysis.
