Analytics Engineering Lead
Job Description
Salary: £54,000 - 70,000 per year

- You have expert-level proficiency in SQL and dbt, with a strong focus on writing clean, reusable, and testable code.
- You have mastery of dimensional data modelling and the ability to develop solutions for highly complex scenarios.
- You can drive adoption of new standards, patterns, and tools across multiple teams without direct authority.
- You have exceptional communication skills and can explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders and senior business leaders.
- You have strong stakeholder management experience and can extract core requirements and identify the source of truth in complex, cross-functional environments.
- You have a deep, end-to-end understanding of the data lifecycle, from ingestion and transformation through to consumption.
- Experience owning and driving a long-term data modelling strategy is valued.
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing data governance frameworks is valued.
- Experience acting as a lead responder for GDPR or data privacy incidents is valued.
- A track record of leading rapid proof of concepts to validate new technologies or approaches is valued.
- Experience contributing to broader data org strategy and influencing data culture at an organisational level is valued.
- We set the gold standard for our data practices and ensure our data is scalable, reliable, and built on modern best practices.
- We drive the strategy behind our data models and bridge the gap between high-level business goals and technical reality.
- We define and enforce engineering best practices such as CI/CD and modularity across the data organisation.
- We develop advanced modelling solutions for complex scenarios.
- We research and implement modern data stack tooling.
- We own the long-term vision for data modelling.
- We design and implement data governance frameworks.
- We act as lead responder for GDPR-related incidents.
- We partner with Product to shape the Analytics Engineering Roadmap.
- We translate complex business needs into technical requirements.
- We champion a data-driven culture across Kaluza.
