ICT Infrastructure Engineer
Job Description
Salary: £44,000 - 84,000 per year
Requirements:- Educational background in IT or a related field; a relevant computing or technology degree or equivalent experience.
- Active SC clearance, or the ability to obtain it quickly; candidates must be SC clearable and have at least five years of continuous UK residency.
- Hands-on experience supporting enterprise environments, including Windows and macOS endpoints, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Windows Server.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Intune and Entra ID (Azure AD), including device enrolment, compliance policies, user and group management, MFA, and licence administration.
- Strong security awareness and familiarity with endpoint security tools such as Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Government Security Classifications, GDPR obligations, and Cyber Essentials controls.
- Clear, professional communication skills, with the ability to support colleagues at all technical levels and document processes and solutions in a structured, repeatable way.
- Motivation to pursue further certifications, such as MS-900, AZ-900, or ITIL v4, and enhanced clearances, such as DV, as needed.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced consultancy environment and balancing operational support with infrastructure improvements and project delivery.
- Willingness to travel to our UK offices when required for on-site support and stakeholder relationships.
- Act as a primary 1st- and 2nd-line contact for internal IT support, handling incidents and requests by phone, email, and our ITSM/ticketing system.
- Provide day-to-day support for laptops, mobile devices, and productivity tools across Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and Microsoft 365, including Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
- Administer and troubleshoot Microsoft Intune and Entra ID (Azure AD), including device enrolment, compliance policies, access management, and basic SSO and MFA issues.
- Perform routine operational tasks, including password and MFA resets, account unlocks, OS patching, BitLocker administration, and endpoint policy troubleshooting.
- Investigate endpoint security alerts and support remediation using Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and related security tools.
- Create, maintain, and follow Knowledge Base articles, SOPs, and technical documentation to support consistent, high-quality service.
- Liaise with third-party suppliers and vendors to help resolve incidents and improve services.
- Provide occasional on-site support at our UK offices, handling systems and data securely and in line with Government Security Classifications and Cyber Essentials.
