Technical Operations Network Engineer

Salary: £62,000 - 71,500 per year

Requirements:

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent certification
• Microsoft Azure Networking certification (AZ-700) is highly desirable
• Strong technical knowledge of Cisco routing and switching
• Essential experience with Cisco ACI and FMG
• Desirable experience in an environment that uses NAC
• Essential experience with the Fortinet ecosystem
• Ability to work outside normal business hours occasionally to support changes and major incidents

Responsibilities:

• Review technical designs and provide guidance to ensure they comply with our security policies and industry standards
• Collaborate with our Cyber Security team to assess risks and deliver vulnerability remediation based on threat intelligence and business requirements
• Act as an escalation point for network-related incidents, guiding Service Delivery Managers and partners to minimize downtime and impact on IT services
• Define network changes, project roadmaps, performance expectations, and delivery timelines with our internal stakeholders and external service providers
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, topologies, and designs using tools such as LeanIX
• Use network automation tools and scripting to improve efficiency and reduce manual configuration tasks
• Serve as the primary contact for network issues identified by service providers, responding effectively under pressure to ensure continuous service
