Salary: £66,500 - 91,000 per year

Requirements:
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop original solutions to real-world problems.
  • Experience coaching junior data scientists or analysts and reviewing code and documentation to a high standard.
  • Experience using Python, including pandas, NumPy and scikit-learn.
  • End-to-end experience managing multiple data science and analytics projects across different industries and data types, including text, numerical and categorical data.
  • Project management experience in a DevOps environment, experience using Git, and experience working in a cloud environment such as Azure or AWS.
  • A solid understanding of mathematics, probability and statistics, with deep knowledge of supervised and unsupervised machine learning techniques.
  • Understanding of Large Language Models, Generative AI frameworks, prompt engineering, fine-tuning and resource augmentation.
  • Strong communication and data presentation skills, including the ability to develop and present persuasive recommendations to non-technical audiences.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently while contributing as a team player, and able to apply data science principles in a business context.
  • Desirable: experience using R; deep learning or NLP techniques; developing Generative AI projects; software engineering best practices such as test-driven development; Azure Databricks, Azure MLflow or other ML services; Excel, SQL, Power BI or Tableau; Docker and Kubernetes; Agile development; or delivering data science for the financial industry or large, complex organisations.
Responsibilities:
  • Deliver data analytics and data science services that provide meaningful client insights and help clients understand business risks and key drivers, using tools such as Python, R, Azure, Databricks, SQL, Tableau and Power BI.
  • Develop and deliver innovative data science and machine learning tools and solutions to support evolving audit and assurance needs.
  • Help clients with large-scale data handling, manipulation, analysis and modelling.
  • Manage delivery across a range of Audit and Assurance analytics offerings and projects.
  • Work effectively with colleagues in diverse teams and contribute to an inclusive team culture.
