Applied AI & ML Lead – Markets Operations

Salary: £61,000 - 101,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require an MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
• We seek proven experience building and deploying AI applications in large-scale production environments.
• We require experience with MLOps practices and tools for managing the machine learning lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

• We expect you to lead the development, implementation, and end-to-end delivery of advanced machine learning models and algorithms for Market Operations initiatives.
• We expect you to partner with AI Engineering teams on robust architecture design and deployment patterns aligned with business needs.
• We expect you to mentor and guide AI/ML data scientists, supporting iterative experimentation and tracking progress in an agile environment.
• We expect you to ensure production-grade AI/ML applications and tools are built, maintained, and optimized.
• We expect you to establish best practices for robust architecture, evaluation, monitoring, governance, and deployment.
• We expect you to champion documentation of methodologies, results, and best practices for knowledge sharing.
• We expect you to align design and delivery across partner teams to support execution velocity and clarify development priorities.
• We expect you to engage with stakeholders in an agile manner to develop, demonstrate, and iterate on deliverables aligned with business needs.
• We expect you to collaborate with Operations, Technology, and Transformation teams to solve complex problems using AI/ML.
• We expect you to identify opportunities, set technical direction, and deliver measurable impact through AI/ML applications.
