AV Solutions Architect

Salary: £55,000 - 95,000 per year

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Audio Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience and industry training
• 5+ years of experience in the commercial AV industry, with a background in system design and/or commissioning installations
• Thorough knowledge of commercial AV products and systems, including Audio, Video, Control, and IT systems
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in clear, customer-friendly language
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Preferred: Dante, CTS, or other technical certifications
• Preferred: AutoCAD drawing experience
• Preferred: Experience with audio and video interfaces, standards, and AVoIP technology
• Preferred: Familiarity with Microsoft Suite applications such as Word, Excel, and Visio

Responsibilities:

• Gather customer requirements and use cases with dedicated sales personnel to provide pre-sales technical support
• Design systems that meet clients specific needs using appropriate products and technologies
• Develop proposals and bills of materials, ensuring the correct products and quantities are selected
• Coordinate with the CAD department on general arrangement, mechanical and electrical, elevation, and other project detail drawings; generate schematics and rack layouts
• Coordinate with Project Management to ensure design intent is met and implemented appropriately
• Engage with other building trades and contractors to support smooth system integration
• Manage requests for information and change requests throughout the project lifecycle
• Maintain accurate logs and files, and distribute information to relevant parties
• Provide post-sales support, including implementation assistance and troubleshooting during service calls
• Liaise with manufacturers and distributors to select suitable products and develop in-depth knowledge of their functions, capabilities, and limitations
• Maintain strong relationships with manufacturers and distributors
• Attend training sessions and workshops for integrators and consultants to stay informed about relevant products and applications
• Investigate new products and technologies that may meet current and future needs
