Senior Software Engineer

Salary: £40,000 - 60,000 per year

Requirements:

• Communicate effectively through email, instant messaging, phone, and video conferencing.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to product quality and effective problem-solving.
• Maintain an active interest in current design and development tools, technologies, and processes.
• Have solid experience developing ASP.NET web applications in C# using Visual Studio or Visual Studio Code.
• Have experience working in collaborative, multidisciplinary teams.
• Have experience creating maintainable code and using source control such as Azure DevOps, Git, or similar tools.
• Have experience with unit and automated testing using tools such as NUnit, Jasmine, and Selenium.
• Have a solid understanding of network security, authentication, and authorization principles.
• Have experience working with databases using Entity Framework.
• Have good knowledge of SOLID principles.
• Have experience creating RESTful APIs and ensuring API extensibility.
• Have experience with service-oriented architectures (SOA).
• Hold a BSc in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
• Advantageous experience includes Azure, Docker or Kubernetes, OWASP security practices, OpenID Connect or Identity Server, microservice architecture, MS SQL Server, Azure DevOps or TeamCity, and infrastructure as code using Bicep, ARM templates, or Terraform.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and developer-test UI, server, and interface components using C# in multithreaded, multi-server environments.
• Ensure code accounts for security, scalability, compatibility, and maintainability.
• Test work, fix defects, and help resolve customer support cases.
