Senior Software Engineer (Python/Terraform/AWS)

Salary: £65,000 - 105,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are looking for experience working with a public cloud such as Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• We require strong experience using GitHub Actions within a CI/CD pipeline.
• We require solid Python knowledge.
• We are looking for experience with front-end technologies such as JavaScript and Node.
• We require experience with Web Application Firewall (WAF) technologies and Cloudflare features.
• We require solid working experience with Git and SQL.
• We value knowledge of Terraform and experience working with Linux.
• We value familiarity with RESTful services, event-driven architectures, scripting, testing practices in CI/CD environments, and Agile DevOps ways of working.

Responsibilities:

• We deliver software engineering services for products where reputation management and security are critical to ongoing business success.
• We build software that meets agreed KPIs and non-functional requirements in production, with stability, scalability, and security in mind.
• We set up and maintain AWS infrastructure to deploy business logic.
• We develop monitoring, alerting, and supporting dashboards to help teams operate services effectively.
• We develop and maintain a high-quality engineering pipeline so releases are predictable, repeatable, and reliable.
• We work effectively as part of a cross-functional Agile team and support the products and services we own.
• We help maintain code quality and engineering standards across the team through collaboration and support.
• We mentor and guide team members, contribute to process improvements, and advocate for positive change.
