Job Description

Salary: £33,000 - 73,000 per year

Requirements:
  • We require at least 2 years of experience in a DevOps Engineering role.
  • Were looking for curiosity about exploring new technologies.
  • We require strong knowledge of AWS and creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
  • We require practical experience with Terraform, ArgoCD, Kubernetes, Kafka, and KOWL.
  • Were looking for experience working with Java development teams and with multiple ecosystem databases, architecture, and integration.
  • We require experience with monitoring tools to support system reliability and performance.
  • We require a strong understanding of Kubernetes container orchestration and package management using Helm.
  • We require proficiency in setting up and maintaining pipelines, particularly with Jenkins.
  • Were looking for experience with database schema change management, such as Liquibase, and an understanding of GitOps principles.
  • Were looking for a mindset focused on automation, proactive monitoring, continuous improvement, and defining best practices.
  • We require a willingness to travel, the right to work in the UK, and the ability to attain UK Security Clearance.
Responsibilities:
  • We share responsibility across development and operations, focusing on people, processes, and tools to provide a unified customer and user focus.
  • We work in multidisciplinary teams with Development, QA, IT Operations, Infosec, and UCD colleagues to apply DevOps best practices.
  • In our APS (Application Support) team, we support UK platforms and products through a mix of development, DevOps, and support work.
  • We participate in an on-call rotation.
  • We implement and support improvements to efficiency and software quality, and help accelerate delivery.
  • We communicate with stakeholders and translate business requirements into technical implementations.
  • We facilitate business knowledge, understand business needs, and help the DevOps team support them efficiently.
  • We negotiate and influence with stakeholders to help services run effectively and ensure efforts are appropriately prioritized.
