Automation Lead

Salary: £60,000 - 60,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong experience designing and delivering enterprise automation solutions
• Good understanding and experience with AI technology
• Hands-on expertise with workflow orchestration platforms, ideally n8n
• Strong PowerShell and Python development skills
• Experience integrating systems using APIs, JSON, webhooks and automation tooling
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Azure services
• Ability to analyse business processes and identify automation opportunities
• Experience producing technical designs, documentation and standards
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Full driving licence
• Ability to obtain a high level of security clearance, with SC and possibly DV clearance in the near to medium future
• Desirable: Experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, Azure Functions
• Desirable: GitHub / GitHub Copilot
• Desirable: Low-code / no-code platforms
• Desirable: Managed services background
• Desirable: ITIL Foundation or equivalent

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of our automation function across multiple business units
• Identify automation opportunities and prioritise delivery initiatives
• Design and deliver workflow automation solutions using n8n
• Develop reusable automation patterns, tooling and frameworks
• Establish automation standards, governance and best practice
• Ensure solutions are secure, supportable and aligned to operational needs
• Work with stakeholders to embed automation into day-to-day operations
• Measure and communicate the value delivered through automation
• Evaluate emerging automation technologies and advise leadership
• Visit stakeholders and departments at different offices as required for the business analysis side of the role
