Network Engineer

Salary: £45,000 - 64,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require a degree, or equivalent experience, in electrical, electronic, automotive or communications engineering.
• We require automotive network engineering experience.
• We require hands-on experience with CAN, LIN and Automotive Ethernet or FlexRay.
• We require experience with DBC, FIBEX or ARXML data and signal management.
• We require strong CANoe/CANalyzer trace analysis and troubleshooting capability.
• Desirable: AUTOSAR communication stack and network management knowledge.
• Desirable: experience with PREEvision or Capital Network tools.
• Desirable: knowledge of diagnostics over CAN or Ethernet.

Responsibilities:

• We develop, maintain, integrate and validate vehicle communication networks and associated engineering artefacts.
• We support communication design, signal definition, gateway routing, database management, release preparation and network fault investigation.
• We develop and maintain communication matrices, signal databases and interface definitions.
• We support CAN, LIN, FlexRay and Automotive Ethernet implementation.
• We define signal attributes, timing, routing, gatewaying and network management requirements.
• We support network topology and gateway design activities.
• We prepare and validate network database and configuration releases.
• We analyse traces and investigate communication, timing and gateway issues.
• We support ECU integration, network validation and vehicle build activities.
• We coordinate network changes with systems, software, diagnostics and suppliers.
• We maintain network requirements, documentation and release records.
