C++ Software Engineer Android Linux

Salary: £60,000 - 60,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are looking for experience developing software using C / C++ for cross-platform use; Java may also be considered.
• We are looking for a good understanding of embedded Linux and Android build systems.
• We are looking for familiarity with networking programming, protocol design, compression, security, and multithreaded programming.
• We are looking for experience with both application and embedded development, including areas such as IoT and set-top boxes.
• We are looking for commercial awareness and business acumen.
• We are looking for excellent communication and presentation skills, with confidence demonstrating products to senior stakeholders and working with clients on bespoke development projects.

Responsibilities:

• We support customers with the technical integration and bespoke application development of our core software products.
• We partner with clients to understand their needs and present solutions.
• We articulate requirements to our engineering team, agree detailed specifications, and coordinate delivery to customers.
• We collaborate and problem-solve within an R&D environment using cutting-edge technology.
• We develop new ideas and prototypes that may become new product lines.
• We collaborate closely with our sales team.
• We travel to trade shows and exhibitions to demonstrate the product and drive customer engagement.
