Security Solutions Engineer

Salary: £37,000 - 68,500 per year

Requirements:

• Strong security and infrastructure engineering experience
• Experience working across both cloud and on-prem environments
• Ability to work directly with clients and stakeholders
• Network design and configuration experience
• Experience with cloud and on-prem infrastructure
• Experience with VM and container deployments
• Linux administration and scripting experience
• TCP/IP and network traffic analysis experience
• Experience with security tooling and infrastructure
• Client-facing technical consulting experience
• Adaptable and comfortable learning new technologies
• SC Clearance

Responsibilities:

• Support the design, deployment, configuration and improvement of security solutions and infrastructure
• Work across cloud, on-prem and virtualised infrastructure
• Work with containers and containerised platforms
• Support network security, routers, switches and VLANs
• Work with DNS and identity management
• Deploy and integrate security tooling
• Perform Linux administration, package management and scripting
• Carry out infrastructure sizing and define technical requirements
• Test solutions against functional and non-functional requirements
• Communicate confidently with clients and stakeholders as a technical SME

We are offering a 69 month contract for a Security Solutions Engineer in Frimley, working in a hybrid model with currently around 12 weeks on site per month across UK client sites. The role is a 40-hour-per-week hands-on technical position within the Defence sector, with international travel required. We offer the opportunity to work across varied security technologies, gain exposure to both cloud and on-prem infrastructure, and work closely with clients in a technically varied environment.
