Job Description

Salary: £40,000 - 50,000 per year

Requirements:
  • 3 to 5+ years experience in 3rd line / infrastructure support, preferably some time spent within an MSP environment.
  • Strong Microsoft 365, Entra ID and Azure knowledge.
  • Strong Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy experience.
  • Good networking knowledge including TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls and VLANs.
  • Experience with Hyper-V and/or VMWare virtualisation.
  • Experience supporting and troubleshooting Citrix DaaS / Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environments.
  • Good PowerShell scripting and automation skills.
  • Experience with SQL Server administration and troubleshooting desirable.
  • Strong understanding of backup, disaster recovery and security technologies.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent customer-facing and communication skills.
  • Ability to work closely with AMs, Project Managers, Service Delivery and customer IT teams.
  • Strong experience delivering Professional Services projects, migrations and technical implementations.
  • Experience working with Professional Services organisations, particularly accounting, legal or other regulated environments.
  • Understanding of the specific technology, security, compliance and confidentiality requirements of accountancy and legal firms.
  • Ability to produce technical designs, implementation plans, migration plans and documentation.
  • Experience taking projects through discovery, design, implementation, testing and handover to BAU.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple technical projects and priorities.
  • Strong commitment to documentation, standards and delivering supportable solutions.
  • Ability to conduct technical discovery, identify risks and technical debt, and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Relevant Microsoft, Citrix, VMware or ITIL certifications desirable.
Responsibilities:
  • Support our End User Support team as a 3rd line / Escalation Engineer.
  • Deliver troubleshooting and problem solving for complex technical issues.
  • Work closely with AMs, Project Managers, Service Delivery and customer IT teams.
  • Deliver Professional Services projects, migrations and technical implementations.
  • Produce technical designs, implementation plans, migration plans and documentation.
  • Take projects through discovery, design, implementation, testing and handover to BAU.
  • Conduct technical discovery, identify risks and technical debt, and recommend appropriate solutions.
