ICT Security Specialist

Salary: £65,000 - 105,000 per year

Requirements:

• Associate or technical school degree, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
• 2-10 years of related work experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in low-voltage system design.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work with BIM tools such as Revit, PDF software, Microsoft software, and Google software.
• Preferred: Engineering bachelors degree.
• Preferred: RCDD or PSP certification.
• Preferred: Experience working in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Strong computer skills, including Bluebeam and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of engineering drawings and design standards and practices.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple tasks independently, and work on schedule and under budget.
• Ability to work in a high-velocity environment while maintaining attention to detail and workmanship quality.
• Can-do and problem-solving mindset.
• Strong desire for continuous learning and professional education.
• Must be able to work as an active participant in our employee-owned culture.
• Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Responsibilities:

• Complete a variety of project tasks related to ICT/Security systems.
• Apply general engineering knowledge of telecommunication systems or electronic security systems, including operational coordination with commercial hardware.
• Design cabling pathways such as conduits or cable tray systems and proper bonding systems.
• Meet with project clients to evaluate, define, and review customer needs and objectives.
• Develop complete project construction documents, including SD, DD, and CD packages, project specifications, and design intent documentation.
• Assist with system-related activities during all construction administration activities.
• Coordinate with integrated multidisciplinary project teams to develop functional requirements, system designs, and other project requirements.
• Edit telecommunication or security specifications to fit the specific project.
• Maintain knowledge of current industry product offerings and research emerging technologies.
• Assist in problem resolution and technical troubleshooting when field support is needed.
• Perform other duties as needed.
