Senior Software Engineer Full Stack

Salary: £40,000 - 70,000 per year

Requirements:

• We have strong full stack development experience with Node.js, TypeScript and React
• We have experience designing scalable APIs and cloud native applications
• We have experience setting up serverless architectures with modern cloud tools such as Microsoft Azure or AWS
• We have experience integrating enterprise systems and building event-driven solutions
• We are comfortable working with Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines
• We have experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor or Claude
• We enjoy working in collaborative, start-up style environments with high levels of ownership

Responsibilities:

• We help design and build a modern cloud native platform
• We set up serverless platforms from the ground up using Node.js, TypeScript, React and Microsoft Azure
• We take ownership of backend services, APIs, integrations and cloud infrastructure
• We contribute to frontend development
• We design scalable APIs, build event-driven integrations, develop Infrastructure as Code and establish engineering standards, CI/CD pipelines and architecture alongside the CTO
• We work in an AI-first engineering environment and use modern AI development tools to accelerate delivery while maintaining ownership of code quality, security and technical design

We are a growing financial services business building a brand new product that will transform how financial advisers work. This is a high-impact role within a small, experienced engineering team where we work directly with the CTO and have the opportunity to influence technical decisions from day one. The role is based in Bristol with home working most of the time, plus office collaboration once or twice a week. Salary is up to 95k, and the opportunity offers strong progression as the company scales.
