Job Description

Salary: £55,000 - 95,000 per year

Requirements:
  • Demonstrable experience developing and carrying out user research plans that produce relevant insights and evaluation of experiences and outcomes.
  • Experience with a range of user research methodologies and broader research approaches.
  • Ability to map and engage with different stakeholder groups.
  • Understanding of how to carry out research responsibly and ethically, including protecting participant privacy.
  • Understanding of inclusive research and creative approaches to recruiting a diverse range of research participants.
  • Experience working with other disciplines to define hypotheses and test concepts, helping shape new products, services and experiences.
  • Experience managing remote and in-person usability testing throughout the agile development lifecycle.
  • Ability to lead and participate in the analysis and synthesis of research data and findings, and communicate insights in an engaging and concise way to support data-informed decisions.
  • Ability to define key metrics and measurements used to evaluate the impact of products and services and inform ongoing enhancements.
  • Ability to support and coach teams and stakeholders in user research methods, analysis and synthesis techniques, and approaches to presenting and sharing findings.
  • Ability to produce concise artefacts such as personas, journey maps, and user stories to communicate user and business needs.
  • Experience working with agile development teams and stakeholders to co-design and deliver products and services to meet user needs.
  • Ability to advocate for and ensure high standards of usability, accessibility, and inclusivity for products and services.
  • Detailed understanding and experience of working to the Government Service Standard is desirable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, listening, and facilitation skills, with confidence communicating with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Technical literacy to understand technical processes, concepts, and constraints at a high level.
  • Ability to recognise and work within project constraints, supporting colleagues to ensure delivery of value to the client and their users.
  • Interest in supporting the development of our internal culture, tools, processes, and growth opportunities.
Responsibilities:
  • Join our multidisciplinary team designing and delivering innovative digital products and services for our Government and Private Sector clients.
  • Understand problems and design inclusive, human-centred experiences.
  • Work as a pragmatic team player with an appreciation of both business and user needs.
  • Develop T-shaped skills and take on new challenges.
  • Support agile delivery by working with teams and stakeholders to co-design and deliver products and services.
  • Advise on and help maintain high standards of usability, accessibility, and inclusivity.
  • Support the analysis, synthesis, and sharing of research findings to inform decisions.
  • Help define metrics and measures to evaluate product and service impact.
  • Support coaching of teams and stakeholders in user research methods and related techniques.
