Software Engineer
Job Description
Salary: £58,000 - 98,000 per year

- You are a curious, fast learner with an interest in quantum computing and complex technical problems.
- You have a strong technical foundation, such as computer science, maths, physics or a similar field.
- You are proficient in Python and have experience building efficient, high-quality software.
- You have a good understanding of the software stack and the ability to deliver to deadlines.
- You are a collaborative team player with experience working across diverse groups.
- You are a clear communicator, comfortable engaging with both users and colleagues.
- You have an interest in open-source and user-focused software development.
- You are adaptable and proactive in a fast-moving, evolving environment.
- Build parts of both the internal and external software stack for error-corrected quantum computing systems.
- Design and build quantum software productivity tools to represent and debug quantum programs.
- Design and implement parts of the QEC compiler stack whenever necessary.
- Work closely with scientists and engineers to implement practical and scalable solutions.
- Write correct and maintainable code.
- Actively participate in the Deltakit open-source community.
- Engage with our user community, supporting adoption and understanding how people are using Deltakit.
- Turn feedback into thoughtful, well-engineered improvements.
