Associate Data Engineer
Job Description
Salary: £61,000 - 101,000 per year
Requirements:- Experience delivering data solutions end to end

- Experience working with cloud-based data platforms
- An understanding of how to build reliable, well-tested data systems
- Technical expertise in Azure data technologies (e.g. Azure Cosmos DB, Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory)
- Python or another object-oriented programming language
- Experience with Azure Databricks and/or Apache Spark
- Experience with reporting or visualisation tools such as Power BI, MicroStrategy, or similar platforms
- Experience with CI/CD workflows, including automated build, test, and deployment pipelines
- Experience using version control systems such as Git
- Exposure to Agile delivery frameworks (e.g. Scrum or Kanban)
- Awareness of both cloud and on-premises infrastructure considerations
- Design and deliver data solutions using the Microsoft Azure Data Platform
- Collaborate with other engineers through pairing, code reviews, and shared problem-solving
- Support teams in understanding data, telemetry, and operational issues
- Explore new tools or approaches through proof-of-concept work, including performance, data modelling, and cost considerations
- Work with Lead Data Engineers, Engineering Managers, and Solution Architects to develop and improve engineering standards and practices
- Build solutions that are reliable, well-tested, maintainable, and automated through modern CI/CD tooling
- Contribute to an agile, cross-functional team and take shared ownership of delivery quality
