Salary: £35,000 - 35,000 per year

Requirements:
  • Previous experience in an IT Support, Infrastructure Support, Technical Support or 1st and 2nd Line Support role.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows 10/11 and Active Directory.
  • Experience supporting Windows Server environments.
  • Good understanding of networking fundamentals, including switch configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Experience supporting or administering SQL Server, including user management, backups or maintenance activities.
  • Experience with backup and recovery technologies such as Veeam, Backup Exec, Datto or similar solutions.
  • Exposure to Google Workspace administration would be highly beneficial.
  • Experience working with IT service management or ticketing systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently whilst contributing effectively to a wider team.
  • Full UK Driving Licence and own vehicle.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1st and 2nd line support to over 600 users across multiple sites.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, networking and telephony issues.
  • Support and administer Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace environments.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions and access controls within Active Directory and business applications.
  • Support Windows Server environments and assist with ongoing system maintenance.
  • Assist with SQL Server administration, user management, monitoring and backup activities.
  • Support backup and recovery solutions, including performing backup checks, restores and disaster recovery testing.
  • Assist with network infrastructure support, including switches, connectivity and network troubleshooting.
  • Work closely with third-party support providers and software vendors.
  • Test and deploy new hardware, software and system upgrades.
  • Support IT security initiatives, endpoint protection and compliance activities.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation, asset records and support procedures.
  • Participate in business continuity and disaster recovery activities.
  • Travel between Leicester and Rugby sites as required.
  • Participate in occasional out-of-hours support on a rota basis.

We are now looking to appoint an IT Infrastructure Support Engineer to join our collaborative IT team, supporting both office and operational environments across our Midlands locations. This is a permanent, full-time on-site role based in Leicester and Rugby, offering a salary of £35,000 and the opportunity to gain exposure to a broad range of technologies and infrastructure projects, with ongoing training and development across infrastructure, networking, cloud technologies and business-critical systems.
