Front-End Engineer

Salary: £34,000 - 56,000 per year

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience as a software engineer, with a strong focus on front-end development
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and React
• A track record of collaborating closely with Designers and Product Managers
• Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices, including GitLab and Kubernetes
• A solid understanding of distributed systems in a modern cloud environment
• Experience profiling front-end performance to identify and resolve bottlenecks
• Familiarity with Figma and design-to-code workflows
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English
• The ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams
• Proficiency with AI-driven development tools to accelerate coding, debugging, and documentation
• Nice to have: hands-on experience with Next.js and React Native
• Nice to have: experience with state management tools such as Redux or React Query
• Nice to have: experience in the sports betting or finance industries
• Nice to have: experience writing and maintaining end-to-end tests (Maestro, Playwright)
• Nice to have: a user-centric mindset and a genuine interest in UX

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement and maintain complex features and interfaces across web and mobile (iOS & Android), built with React, React Native and TypeScript
• Work closely with Product, Design and other engineering teams to scope and lead business goal-aligned projects
• Translate designs and prototypes from Figma into polished, functional and pixel-perfect interfaces
• Implement monitoring and error tracking to ensure the stability and performance of our user-facing applications
• Help reinforce the standard for code quality by writing tests and reviewing merge requests
• Continuously improve engineering processes including CI/CD
• Champion our stack by demonstrating how to implement functionality the right way, with an eye to the horizon and your mind on the present
