Java GCP Developer

Requirements:

• Strong experience in backend software engineering
• Strong Java development experience
• Experience designing and building high-scale, highly available backend services
• Experience working within financial services, banking, lending, payments, or other regulated environments
• Experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM) platforms
• Knowledge of OAuth, OpenID Connect, SSO, or authentication services
• Experience with microservices and distributed systems
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure

Responsibilities:

• Designing and building high-scale backend services using Java
• Developing secure and resilient identity and access management solutions
• Working on systems supporting high-volume transactional workloads in a regulated environment
• Applying Test Driven Development (TDD) throughout the software development lifecycle

We are a highly regulated financial services organisation operating mission-critical platforms that process large volumes of transactions securely and reliably. Technology plays a central role in delivering exceptional customer experiences while maintaining the highest standards of security, resilience, and operational excellence. The role is based in Dunton, with an on-site requirement of 4 days a week. The contract is initially until the end of the year, with a likely extension for 12 months, and the rate is up to £560 per day.
