Salary: £70,000 - 110,000 per year

Requirements:
  • We require a Bachelors degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • We require 4–6 years of experience in Data Science, Product Analytics, Marketing Analytics, Growth Analytics, or a similar analytical role.
  • We require advanced SQL and Python or R skills.
  • We require a strong foundation in statistics, experimentation, and causal inference methodologies.
  • We require experience designing and analysing A/B tests, controlled experiments, holdouts, and geo experiments.
  • We require experience measuring incrementality and evaluating business initiatives using data-driven approaches.
  • We require a strong understanding of growth and performance metrics, including ROAS, CAC, conversion, retention, and customer lifetime value.
  • We require excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex analysis into clear business recommendations.
Responsibilities:
  • We design and analyse A/B tests, holdouts, geo experiments, and other experimental frameworks to evaluate initiatives and establish causality.
  • We build robust measurement approaches for marketing, product, pricing, and risk initiatives, including incrementality, ROAS, CAC, retention, conversion, and customer lifetime value.
  • We apply statistical and causal inference techniques, including regression analysis, seasonality adjustment, interrupted time series, and causal impact frameworks, to determine business impact.
  • We analyse customer behaviour, identify growth opportunities, and uncover root causes behind performance trends.
  • We translate complex analytical findings into clear recommendations that help teams decide what to stop, start, or scale.
  • We partner cross-functionally with stakeholders and help raise analytical, measurement, and experimentation standards across the business.

We are Western Union, and we are hiring a Senior Data Scientist to help shape important growth and investment decisions by uncovering what drives customer growth, profitability, and long-term value.
