Technical Product Manager Specialist - London

Salary: £120,000 - 160,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require 2–4 years of experience as a Product Manager, Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or a similar role within financial services.
• We require experience working with complex datasets, data products, or analytical platforms.
• We require the ability to translate ambiguous business problems into structured product requirements and delivery plans.
• We require strong communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
• We require demonstrated ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams and navigate ambiguity.
• We prefer working knowledge of relational databases, data pipelines, and data modelling concepts.
• We prefer familiarity with SQL and Python.
• We prefer exposure to semantic modelling, metadata management, data governance, or knowledge graph technologies.
• We prefer experience working within Agile product delivery environments.

Responsibilities:

• We partner with product leadership to execute the ESG Data Product roadmap in alignment with business priorities and enterprise data strategy.
• We own and prioritize the product backlog, balancing stakeholder needs, technical dependencies, regulatory requirements, and delivery capacity.
• We develop clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and product requirements that enable efficient engineering execution.
• We collaborate closely with delivery lead, technology lead, and engineers throughout planning, development, testing, and release activities.
• We support the continued evolution of our ESG Data Product, including semantic modelling, data relationships, data management, and cross-domain data integration.
• We partner with data architecture and engineering teams to ensure solutions are scalable, reusable, governed, and aligned with enterprise standards.
• We provide business and technical context that enables engineering teams to successfully deliver complex data capabilities.
• We serve as a key technical point of contact for external ESG data providers and strategic data partners.
• We support the onboarding and integration of new data sources into our ESG data ecosystem.
• We partner with operations and engineering teams to monitor data quality, investigate anomalies, and drive continuous improvements in data ingestion and processing capabilities.
• We collaborate with operations teams, data consumers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and prioritize outcomes.
• We translate complex business needs into structured product requirements, delivery plans, and roadmap priorities.
• We facilitate alignment across technical and non-technical stakeholders while managing competing priorities and expectations.
• We represent the ESG Data Product in product showcases, governance forums, and broader Product Management and Data communities across Vanguard.
• We contribute to the advancement of enterprise data capabilities by promoting reusable data assets, common standards, and scalable data management practices.
• We identify risks, dependencies, and opportunities that may impact product delivery, adoption, or long-term sustainability.
• We stay informed on developments in ESG reporting, industry standards, investment data, and data management technologies.
• We continuously develop technical, product management, and domain expertise, while contributing thought leadership in enterprise data products and cross-domain data relationships.
