IT Project Manager

Salary: £55,000 - 58,000 per year

Requirements:

• Proven project management experience within the legal, financial, or professional services sectors.
• Proven experience delivering technology, business change, or transformation projects within a complex organisation.
• Strong experience managing projects through the full lifecycle, from business case development through implementation, handover, and benefits realisation.
• Experience using Agile, Waterfall, and/or hybrid delivery methodologies.
• Strong understanding of project governance, risk and issue management, financial control, dependencies, change control, and project reporting.
• Demonstrable experience influencing senior stakeholders, project sponsors, suppliers, and cross-functional delivery teams.
• Strong planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to present complex information clearly.
• Experience supporting business cases, benefits tracking, implementation, operational readiness, and continuous improvement.
• A proactive and collaborative approach, with the ability to identify challenges early and deliver solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end project delivery across technology and business change initiatives using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches.
• Define scope, objectives, deliverables, plans, budgets, and timelines while coordinating teams and resources.
• Drive project governance and control by managing risks, issues, dependencies, budgets, and change.
• Provide clear and accurate reporting to project sponsors and senior stakeholders.
• Build strong stakeholder and supplier relationships and support effective communication and decision-making.
• Deliver successful implementation and transition into business-as-usual operations.
• Coordinate operational readiness, training, documentation, and benefits realisation activities.
• Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve processes, ways of working, and project delivery effectiveness.
• Share knowledge, promote best practice, and contribute to wider organisational change and transformation initiatives.

We are recruiting an experienced IT Project Manager for a 14-month fixed-term contract based in Bristol, with flexible hybrid working.
