Application Architect

Salary: £40,000 - 65,000 per year

Requirements:

• We need experience balancing business requirements with security, regulatory, and operational considerations.
• We need a degree in a STEM-related discipline or equivalent experience.

• We value experience using enterprise architecture modelling techniques and tools.

Responsibilities:

• We lead the application architecture strategy, defining the vision and roadmap for application solutions across a major business area.
• We oversee application portfolio management activities, including application rationalisation, lifecycle management, and obsolescence planning.
• We design and maintain application architecture blueprints aligned to business goals and enterprise standards.
• We collaborate with business and technical owners to create coherent application roadmaps and investment plans.
• We ensure application information is maintained accurately within configuration and asset management repositories.
• We define and enforce integration standards to ensure effective communication between applications, platforms, and services.
• We evaluate emerging technologies, frameworks, and tools, providing recommendations to support future business requirements.
• We provide architectural governance, risk management, and guidance throughout the solution lifecycle to ensure security, performance, and compliance requirements are met.
• We support, mentor, and develop technical teams on architecture principles and best practices.
• We monitor industry trends and technology developments to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
